Classroom & Meeting Spaces

Learning centerThe SERC campus is a place for people to work together. The primary concerns are support for scientific research in and around the park, conservation, natural resources use, and the economic issues related to these activities. However, the research center's facilities are available to any group that needs a place to meet. The Schoodic Point location and the overnight lodging facilities make this an ideal place for board of directors retreats, extended planning meetings, training workshops, faculty retreats, small conferences, and other activities where it is important to provide an attractive, quiet setting away from the press of the daily routine.

The 6,500 square foot Schooner Club is an attractive log building with a warm wood paneled interior. The building has three separate rooms and either can be rented in its entirety or used by up to three separate users. The building also has a kitchen and dining area. The aesthetic appeal of this building, combined with dining capability, is ideal for meetings and seminars. SERC Institute can provide meals for up to 200 people at one time.

Moore AuditoriumThe 4,800 square foot former Chapel, now Dorr Hall, is currently used for a resident science program for elementary-aged children. It has three smaller rooms that can be used for breakout sessions, classrooms, or smaller meetings in addition to educational programs.

The 10,000 square foot Moore Auditorium seats 125  people, and in addition has two 60 seat meeting/seminar rooms, and state-of-the-art IT and audio-visual facilities.
