Lodging
Many groups find that the best use of the SERC campus involves at least one overnight stay. The lodging facilities are available to groups making use of the conference and meeting facilities. The Institute also provides lodging for students, artists, and researchers working with SERC program activities, such as the Artists in Residence program. Room and board arrangements are available for students working on fellowships and internships associated with SERC.
The SERC campus includes 23 Schoodic Shore apartments, four one-bedroom Suites and six Cabins with comfortable lodging for up to 80 overnight guests. The bunkhouse sleeps an additional 34 adults or 70 students.
Schoodic Shores
Two and four bedroom apartments are located in a village-like setting with a playground and picnic pavilion. All units have full kitchens, living and dining rooms. The two bedroom apartments have one full bathroom, the four bedroom apartments have one full and two half bathrooms. Some apartments have laundry facilities.
The Suites
In the woods above the Schoodic Shore apartments are four one-bedroom suites with a kitchen/dining room, a living room, and a private bath.
The Cabins
Set in the spruce/fir woods in the center of campus, the Cape Cod style cabins have a kitchen/dining room, living room, bedroom, and full bath on the first floor. There are two more bedrooms on the second floor.
The Bunkhouse
The campus also includes a dormitory for school and other groups. All students are housed with their own teachers and chaperones in a modern, heated dormitory with four-person bunkrooms.
